- On the move are 28,000 residents from North Rocks, Carlingford, Northmead, Winston Hills and a small section of Baulkham Hills despite numerous community petitions and submissions against the move.
- Rubbish collection services will still be conducted by Hills Shire Council as normal.
- Meetings are being held between the Hills Shire Council and Parramatta City Council over the transfer of assests and services to the value of $427 million.
- The ward system will be dissolved with all 12 councillors remaining until local government elections in September 2017.
